As some of you will
know, I now have two children.
Hand Made Noise takes precedence over Aardvark, and
looking after a young baby and a six year old takes up too much time to do
both.
Jon from Kobe is now running fortnightly gigs in Jocks
bar in the union, at the same time as Trash on Wednesdays.
DJ Kerrap is still going strong in the Old Glan every
Saturday night, so there's plenty of rock music in Bangor at the moment,
even without Aardvark.
When we're needed, we'll be back . . .

Aardvark
is being held in abeyance until I have a bit more time. Those of you
who've seen Jen recently will appreciate why. Sorry to those who are
missing us. We should be back in the new year.

One of the problems with a student's union venue is the lack
of action during the long summer break. Also the fact that I will have to
re negotiate Aardvark for next year, as the union operates September to
June and then takes stock and reorganises for the next September.
On a happier note, Aardvark membership for access to the
union on Aardvark nights only is now operating as a guest list, with name
and address only - none of this photo business.

Family
matters make this months update rather redundant, appearing as it does
after the event. Our gig was Carpathia (phoenix from the ashes of
Torturehaus) in Jocks Bar, supported by Five Mile High. If you missed it
I'm sorry, because it was one of the best gigs we've had (80 in Jocks is
quite fun, and Carpathia were superb). If you didn't miss it, then you
know what I'm talking about and this update becomes really redundant.
Nothing booked yet for May, mainly due to exams and suchlike, one of the
problems of using a university venue. Consequently I am looking for
another alternative venue, at least for the summer. News will appear here
when there is any.

This
month's gig is confirmed as Verm in the SU main bar on Tuesday March 12th.
Entry is free as usual. Non student union members will be able to take out
Aardvark membership, which will allow access to the SU on Aardvark nights.
To get membership, approach James with two passport style photos and your
name and address.
Aprils gig should be Tuesday the 16th. Due to
Torturehaus' sad demise, I am lining up another band for that one, all
will be revealed when I know for certain.

Barrels
now closed - Aardvark will continue in Bangor SU. I'll put up more details
when I know what's going on. Dammerung's gig is now in Jocks Bar, all
other details should remain the same.

Dammerung
will be playing. Nice to see that we're keeping Tab busy.
Judging by the quality of their recent four song demo "Faith in
Fakes", this is a band in form.

Skinflick
will be playing as a warm up for their gigs in Cardiff and the
Camden Barfly. Justin has been in the studio, and has now put together a
five piece band to play his first live shows for a number of years.
